Antique Cloth Half Doll Pin Cushion Box – Pink Silk Lace Lady, 10.5" Tall
Antique Cloth Half Doll Pin Cushion Box — Pink Silk & Lace Lady, Curly Blonde Hair, 10.5" Tall
A delightful and rare antique all-fabric lady doll mounted atop a coordinating fabric-covered round box. Unlike the more common porcelain half dolls, this charming piece features a fully cloth-bodied figure with hand-embroidered facial features — bold painted brows, defined eyes, rosy cheeks, and a red embroidered mouth — giving her a wonderful folk art quality typical of early 20th century handmade boudoir pieces.
She wears an off-the-shoulder dress in dusty rose/blush tones with layered ruffled gauze skirt, pink honeycomb netting bodice trim, a satin ribbon waist sash, and a delicate bead necklace with drop pendants. Her voluminous curly blonde lamb's wool or silk floss wig adds to her glamorous, theatrical character.
The box beneath is fully fabric-covered in matching pink ruffled gauze and net, and opens to reveal a padded interior — originally used as a powder puff or trinket box. All fabric and construction are consistent with 1920s–1930s French or European boudoir accessories.
Details:
Total height: approximately 10.5"
Box diameter: approximately 3.5" | Box height: approximately 4"
Materials: cloth body, embroidered face, wool/silk wig, silk and gauze fabric, glass bead trim
Condition: Good antique/vintage condition with age-related toning and fading to fabrics, consistent with age. Structurally intact. No tears or missing elements noted.
A wonderful display piece for collectors of boudoir dolls, folk art, or 1920s–30s decorative accessories.
